ADOBE CONNECT TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS + SYSTEM TEST

 

Internet Connection

For best quality viewing, please connect to high speed Internet via an Ethernet cable (vs. wireless).

 

Audio Set Up

Audio will run through powered speakers or headphones. Please be sure they are not muted. Only use external powered speakers or headphones to be sure you can hear everything well. Laptop speakers alone are often not powerful enough.

 

Projecting a Broadcast

For teams taking in the sessions, you may wish to project the session via large screen TV in a conference room.

 

Turn off All Other Applications

To ensure the best quality audio and video for the broadcast, please close all other applications.

 

Technology Required

You will require high speed internet access, a web browser, and powered speakers or headphones. You will not need a web cam or microphone to participate.

 

System Test

To ensure a problem-free experience, please complete a basic Systems Test.

 

DAY-OF WEBINAR TROUBLESHOOTING

 

Problem: When you can't log into the webinar

The Fix:

  • You will not be able to access the webinar until 30 minutes prior to the log-in time.
  • Open the webinar by using the Adobe Connect Application – You may have to download the application if you have not participated in a Mirren webinar before.
  • If you are still unable to connect, we recommend trying a different browser. If this does not work, try a full reboot of your computer.

 

Problem: I'm having trouble logging in with my passcode.

The Fix:

  • Make sure you select "Enter as a Guest"
  • Try using a private browser or incognito window. For help on how to do this, select which web browser you are using: ChromeFirefoxSafari 
  • If you are still unable to connect, we recommend trying a different browser. If this does not work, try a full reboot of your computer.

 

Problem: The webinar is running too slowly on my machine.

The Fix:

  • Be sure all your other applications are closed.
  • Pause any virus system scans that may be running in the background.
  • If you are still having problems, do a full reboot of your computer and log-in again.

 

Problem: The video is jerky or audio is out of sync.

The Fix:

  • While in the Adobe meeting room, choose Help > Troubleshooting to run a connection test.
  • Refresh your browser. If the issue persists, close your browser and log back in.
  • Note: We have found that this issue is usually related to the system being used to broadcast the webinar. Either your internet speed is too slow, there is not enough computer processing power, or you may have too many other applications open. This is even more important when viewing the broadcast on an external TV.
