This Session

Establishing Authority: Leading Your Clients, Leading Your Teams (Guest Speaker: Mark Strong, CEO at Strong Training & Coaching)

The role of account management has been a constant evolution. This has accelerated further with the recent forces of change and massive shifts in client expectations. In fact, clients are gravitating to those agency executives who “take the bull by the horns” and lead the way forward – proactively, strategically, and with authority. Clients no longer have any patience for passive order takers.

At the same time, account leads must also drive their own teams forward in a way that best utilizes the agency’s resources and keeps everyone motivated to meet each client’s needs.

In this session, Mark Strong will address key shifts client-facing team members can take to improve their ability to influence and guide their client and agency team members. This includes moving from artist to scientist, from brand steward to business strategist, from conductor to muse, from project manager to value creator, and more.

Importantly, he’ll outline how this plays a direct role in driving transformational work and value for clients.
