He has been involved in some of the most important new products and branding assignments ever introduced, such as Miller Lite, Diet Coke, Amstel Light, SONY Walkman and the IBM ThinkPad. He has run large complex organizations such as McCann-Erickson NY, Doyle Dane Bernbach NY, and Earle Palmer Brown-North. Steve is also a seasoned business development executive.
Alex is a business executive with extensive experience and insight across several diverse business segments: consumer packaged goods, marketing, manufacturing, communications, and the B2B and B2C service industries. After Fortune 500 experiences at IBM, Colgate-Palmolive, and Ecolab, he held senior executive positions, including CEO, at several companies: Benckiser USA, Inc.; Screenvision Cinema Network; Whittle Communications (Time/Warner); Petroleum Heat & Power Company; and Perlucid Corporation.
Prior to joining Marketplace, Inc. in 1975, Rod spent several years in New York as International Advertising Manager for the Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., followed by a number of years in advertising agency management in Atlanta.As a consultant, he works with nearly every client of the firm to some degree. His skills in management and finance are regularly drawn upon by companies in industries as varied as pharmaceuticals, insurance, computer software, transportation and telecommunications.
