Internet Connection

  • Connect to high speed Internet via an Ethernet cable (vs. wireless).

 

Audio Set Up

  • Audio will run through powered speakers or headphones.
  • Be sure the speakers/headphones are not muted.
  • Only use external powered speakers or headphones to be sure you can hear everything well.

 

Projecting a Broadcast

  • For teams taking in the sessions, you may project the session via large screen TV.

 

Turn off All Other Applications

  • To ensure the best quality audio and video for the broadcast, close all other applications.
     

Technology Required

  • High speed internet access, a web browser, and powered speakers or headphones.
  • You will not need a web cam or microphone to participate.

 

DAY-OF WEBINAR TROUBLESHOOTING

 

Problem: I cannot log in to the webinar.

The Fix:

  • You will need to have the Zoom Application downloaded to your computer. Download Zoom here >
  • You will not be able to access the webinar until 15-30 minutes prior to the log-in time. 
  • If you are still unable to connect, we recommend trying a different browser. If this does not work, try a full reboot of your computer.

 

Problem: I'm having trouble logging in with my password.

The Fix:

  • Double-check your password in the login email you would have received from Mirren the morning of the webinar.
  • Try using an incognito window. 
  • If you are still unable to connect, we recommend trying a different browser. If this does not work, try a full reboot of your computer.

 

Problem: The webinar is running too slowly + video and audio is jerky on my machine.

The Fix:

  • Be sure all your other applications are closed.
  • Refresh your browser. If the issue persists, close your browser and log back in.
  • If you are still having problems, do a full reboot of your computer and log-in again.
  • Note: We have found that this issue is usually related to the system being used to broadcast the webinar. Either your internet speed is too slow, there is not enough computer processing power, or you may have too many other applications open. This is even more important when viewing the broadcast on an external TV.
